Personal story

I started practicing swimming when I was 5 years old. We were at a pool with family friends, and we grew up together with their child. He challenged me to a 1-length swim and whoever won would win a chair. He beat me, but I promised him that I would start training until I beat him and that's how it all started.

My motivation today comes from my coach, who puts in an incredible amount of effort every day so that we can achieve our main goals. I also have an idol - Michael Phelps. He believes that he can achieve anything and he does.

The most difficult period in swimming was 2 years ago, when I had to lower my time below 53 seconds in the 100m freestyle and I was ready to do it much sooner, but mentally I couldn't get over the pain threshold. I overcame it when my coach gave me a chance to perform before a qualifying race, in which I swam with another boy. They had to choose a participant for the upcoming European Youth Championships. Then my coach told me that I had to believe in myself that I could do it and I really did! I swam 51.89.

I have missed many birthdays, many parties, going out with friends, following diets, going to bed early, traveling for training since I was very young. But, I believe that one day I will participate in the Olympic Games and I give my all for that!

For me, swimming is Life! Being part of the NSK Olimp team since the very beginning of the club is an honor and pride for me.
