WHAT IS THE SWIMMING LESSON FOR CHILDREN

Hello, my name is Emil Milkov and I am the head coach of our club. Today I will answer the question: What is a swimming lesson for children?

Swimming lessons represent a process with various purposes for mastering motor skills and habits to such an extent as to ensure safe behavior and movement in the water or to improve what has been learned so far. At the same time, the main goal of the swimming coach during the lessons is to build knowledge, qualities and virtues in the children, which have a favorable effect on their overall development for better future. 

  1. The duration of the lesson is 60 minutes. It can be changed depending on the goals. 
  2. Each swimming lesson is divided into 3 main parts: preparatory, basic and final.

I. Preparation - lasts between 8 and 10 minutes.

Basically, this is the time for which we have to prepare the body for lesson and for its upcoming training load.

II. Basic -  lasts about 45 minutes.

In this part, the children work on the main goal. It can be practicing familiar things, improving an exercise or developing certain qualities, such as speed, strength, endurance.

III. Final - lasts about 5 minutes.

The main task here is the gradual return of the body to a normal way of functioning.

The lesson ends with gathering the children and distinguishing those who excelled!
